Segerstrom Shelby Event Center: A Southern California Treasure

The Segerstrom Shelby Event Center is one of Southern California’s most unique destinations for car lovers, history enthusiasts, and event planners alike. Home to an extraordinary collection of over 90 Shelby and Ford vehicles, neon signs, petroliana, and rare memorabilia, the center was created to preserve automotive heritage and share it with the community. Net proceeds proudly support the Shriners Hospitals for Children and the Carroll Shelby Foundation.

Visitors can explore the collection at their own pace or attend one of the center’s special events. Guided educational tours will be available soon, offering deeper insight into Carroll Shelby’s influence and the legacy behind these iconic machines. From weddings and corporate gatherings to club meetings and private celebrations, the venue also provides customizable event experiences that guarantee unforgettable moments surrounded by American automotive history.

The center was founded by Ted and Rae Segerstrom, lifelong Southern Californians and passionate collectors. Ted, a 4th-generation Orange County farmer and longtime Shelby enthusiast, still owns his first GT500 and has built one of the world’s premier 1968 GT500KR convertible collections. Rae, who grew up rebuilding engines with her father, now helps oversee daily operations and welcomes guests with genuine warmth. Together, their shared passion and philanthropic spirit power the heart of the center.

Located in Irvine, a few doors down from us, the Segerstrom Shelby Event Center is open Tuesday through Sunday, 10AM to 4PM, with private events occasionally affecting regular hours.

Whether you’re exploring the collection, learning about Shelby history, or hosting a milestone event, the center offers an experience that blends nostalgia, craftsmanship, community, and the spirit of American performance.
