Automobile Mechanic Wanted
Hillbank Motor Corporation in Irvine, CA, is looking for one auto mechanic to join our team.
Our ideal candidate is optimistic, attentive, punctual, and reliable. Health Insurance offered. The person needs to be a passion about working on historic cars.
Average workweek Monday-Friday.
Responsibilities
- Examine consignment cars for safety and drivability
- Present and explain estimates to complete repairs
- Perform routine maintenance on demonstration vehicles.
- Replace or repair worn parts as needed
- Diagnosing and repairing electrical harness’s
- Tuning carburetors
Qualifications
- Must be an ASE Certified Technician
- Experience with older vehicles ('60s-'70s)
- Needs to understand tuning an engine
- Proficient in ford small block applications
- Must be able to lift 80lbs
- Ability to work under tight time constraints
- Must have a POSITIVE can-do attitude
- Must be able to learn from mistakes
- Take directions well
- Take ownership of assigned tasks
- Excellent verbal communication skills
- Knowledge of tools and equipment being used to repair vehicles
- Strong critical-thinking and troubleshooting skills
- Modern Mustang experience a positive
