1963 289FIA Cobra, Built by Hi Tech Motorsports of Arizona [Built in 2000, registered as a 1963, CA VIN HTM65C0108], Dressed in Shelby Guardsman Blue/ Yellow transverse pit stripes. Full Black leather interior with full carpets.
Under the hood: Period correct 289 CID V8 Ford Racing Engine [Approx. 290 HP} The engine is outfitted with: Edelbrock RPM Air Gap intake manifold and Holley performance carburetor topped with Motorsports Chrome air cleaner with K&N Filter. Aluminum Painted and polished “Powered by Ford” Cobra Valve covers. Silver ceramic headers with correct side exit exhaust and MSD ignition ensemble.
Cooling department: Harrison header tank, high-volume oil pump, with High volume Wix filter and braided lines with A/N fittings, single-core high-performance aluminum radiator and dual electric cooling fans.
Geartrain: Top loader 4-speed transmission fitted with a short-throw shifter, Salisbury-style rear end. Rolling stock: Painted and polished cast 15" original Halibrand-style pin-drive wheels and SS (stainless steel) knockoffs, shod with Brand New BF Goodrich Radial T/A'S rubber [225/60Rx15" front; 275/60Rx15" rear].
Chassis, suspension, brake particulars: Hi Tech original-style round tube frame chassis. Fully independent front & rear suspension, SS fuel tank, vented disc brakes. Front-braced rollbar, Black quick jacks.
In the [Legend-correct] cockpit: original-style 15” Moto-Lita hardwood-rimmed steering wheel, Stewart-Warner black faced instrument gauges [with 'correct' reverse-winding speedometer. Special all leather interior, full cockpit carpet, fire extinguisher, correct pedals, heater & defroster, Dual Raydot Racing mirrors, LeMans fuel cap and air deflector/splash guard, correct catches, fittings and seatbelts, leather map pockets, Also includes AC and Cobra badges, 4 point driver shoulder/lap belts, Full size Halibrand 5th Wheel and tire for spare, rear fender rock chip guard.
