Overview

1963 Cobra Superformance MKII 289 Slab Side

SPS0026 is a Stunning British Racing Green 289 Slab Side. Licensed by Shelby and built aesthetically and dimensionally correct to the original 289 Cobras of the early 60's. Featuring a Brass Windshield that has been nickle plated and chromed and a complete set of chrome bumpers. Hood latches, headlights, turn signals, and the Original Style Aluminum Grill complete the look on the outside.

Inside of the cockpit the leather wrapped dash is adorned with period correct Stewart Warner gauges. manufactured brand new to the original size and laid in the correct location. The wood-rimmed Mota Lita Steering Wheel, Chrome carriage style Door Catches, lined Glove Box, and chrome Grab Handle transport you back in time.

SPS0026 has some personalized touches featuring AC exterior badges and Steering wheel center cap to pay homage to the builders of Carroll's original rolling chassis. The wheels cover the 4 piston wilwood disc brakes and were custom ordered matte silver painted instead of the standard chrome. This look really gives this car an authentic feel against the dark British Racing Green exterior.

Under the hood sits a brand new carbureted Ford 302 Boss Engine bolted to a Tremec T-5 5 Speed Manual Transmission. The wheels are driven by an Aluminum ZF Limited Slip Differential. Cooling is controlled by thermostatically controlled electric fans behind a aluminum radiator with a period correct Harrison water expansion tank.

The Superformance MKII 289 Slab Side is an authentic Shelby licensed product. The Shelby 289 street roadster is the car credited with starting the muscle car era in 1962. Today's MKII 289 Slab Side is modeled after the original car but with some modern upgrades in materials and design that incorporate safety and performance improvements without sacrificing driving excitement or originality.

SPS0026 is titled as a 1963 and has only 355 miles on the odometer. SPS0026 is available for $99,950. VIN(S67653W)
