Overview

1965 Cobra 427

Superformance MKIII SP00992 is a gorgeous Guardsman Blue roadster with traditional White Stipes. The rear fenders have a stone guard clear bra to protect the stunning paint and the silver ceramic coated side pipes make the car stand out from the pack.

SP00992 is powered by a small block 351 Windsor Ford mated to a Tremec 5-Speed transmission. The car rides on new Copper Cobra tires (255 in front and 295 in back). Options include a kill switch, radiator rock guard and shoulder harness, as well as an expansion tank.

This Superformance MKIII has a Limited Slip Differential and Power Disc 4 Piston Wilwood Brakes. Other options include the Bilstein coil-over shocks that sharpen the car's handling.

SP00992 features a rare Moto Lita wooden steering wheel, along with period correct Smiths Gauges and a Lucas Ammeter Gauge in the period correct dash layout; to minimize weight. The doors are secured by original style carriage style latches. All openings, such as engine bay, trunk, and cockpit are wrapped around steel subframe for increased strength and support. The dash is wrapped in leather, as are the steel framed seats that have period correct webbing for comfort and elegant aesthetics. Carpeting on the transmission tunnel was recently replaced.

The Superformance MKIII is a meticulously engineered and crafted reproduction of the original, built under license from Carroll Shelby Licensing Inc. No expense was spared in recreating the legendary cars, ensuring an authentic sports car experience.

SP00992 is titled in Oregon as a 1967 Shelby with 20,155 miles and is available for $89,950.
