Superformance MKIII SP03110 was built to allow both you and a companion enjoy spirited motoring in confidence. Designed for adventure, this MKIII features smooth reliable power with modern options to create a swift and refined roadster.
The Guardsmen Blue car has bold white stripes and a rare dual stainless steel roll bar to protect both you and a passenger. The car dazzles with a stainless steel surge tank, silver ceramic–coated headers and side pipes. It sports 18” pin-drive Halibrand-style polished aluminum knockoff wheels shod with high performance Nitto tires (275/35ZRx18 in the front and 335/30ZRx18 in the rear).
The Ford Racing 460 cid small block motor has aluminum heads fed by a Holley 'Terminator' electronic fuel injection system fired by an MSD ignition; this combination churns out an incredible 575 horsepower and 575 ft. lbs. of torque. Cooling is courtesy of an aluminum single-core hi-performance radiator with braided SS lines and dual thermostatically operated electric fans. The Ford V8 connects to a rugged TKO 600 5-speed transmission that sends all the power to a ZF limited-slip IRS differential housing the 3.42:1 final ratio gears.
This Superformance MKIII has Power Disc 4 Piston Wilwood Brakes and Bilstein coil-over shocks that sharpen the car's handling. The matching passenger stainless steel rollbar is frame-anchored for safety.
SP03110 has a Moto-Lita hardwood-rimmed steering wheel, along with period correct Smiths Instruments “blackface” gauges with “Legend-correct” reverse speedometer and genuine Lucas toggle aircraft-style switches in the period correct dash layout. The doors are secured by original style carriage style latches. All openings, such as engine bay, trunk, and cockpit are wrapped around steel subframe for increased strength and support. The interior is swathed in premium German black leather with special touches like quick-release seatbelts, a Safecraft chromed fire extinguisher and original-style AC pedals.
The Superformance MKIII is a meticulously engineered and crafted reproduction of the original, built under license from Carroll Shelby Licensing Inc. No expense was spared in recreating the legendary cars, ensuring an authentic sports car experience.
