The engine even has steel braided oil pressure line, along with steel braided oil lines to a remote oil filter and oil cooler. The car has a robust TKO 600 model 5-speed Tremec manual transmission that sends power to the independent rear suspension. Power Disc 4 Piston Wilwood brakes with stainless steel lines and power assist provides this MKIII with amazing stopping power while the Bilstein coil-over shocks, as well as front and rear sway bars maximize the car's handling.

SP01982 has a traditional wooden steering wheel. The period correct SC dash houses Smith instrument gauges, Lucas toggle switches, an amp gauge and a 180 mph reverse speedometer. The cockpit has a black interior and 4-point seat belt harnesses, while the doors are secured by original style carriage latches. All openings, such as engine bay, trunk, and cockpit are wrapped around the steel subframe for increased strength and support.
