Overview
1965 Shelby Cobra MKIII
Superformance MKIII SP01924
Many dream of owning a sports car that delivers soul-stirring, visceral performance, but few have the opportunity to follow through. The next owner of this Superformance MKIII (SP01924), will turn that dream into reality. Power, stunning appearance, and tactile satisfaction all combine in this 427SC to make every drive memorable.
The exceptional exterior is a heavy metal symphony, with Steel Grey paint accented by Black stripes, chromed roll bar and quick jacks, Cobra emblems and 427 side badges, along with a period-correct cast/machined aluminum Le Mans flip-locking fuel cover. Original style Halibrand pin drive aluminum-alloy knockoff wheels are paired with sticky BFGoodrich T/A Radials (P255/60R15 front; P295/50Rx15 rear) for vintage style with modern grip.
A ferocious powertrain is at the heart of this amazing 427SC. Underhood lurks a Ford Racing 392cid stroker V8 fed by a Holley 8051 carburetor, and sparked by an MSD ignition with a rev limiter. The engine looks as good as it runs, with silver ceramic-coated headers, chromed alternator and radiator tank, and traditional black Cobra valve covers. The V8 is teamed with a Tremec T3550 5-speed gearbox and Ford/Dana IRS. The suspension and brakes maximize all the power thanks to coil-over adjustable shocks, rack & pinion steering, and Wilwood high performance disc brakes.
The cockpit provides a genuine 1960s sports car experience, with Smiths instruments (including correct reverse winding speedometer), a Mota-Lita hardwood-rimmed steering wheel, premium German leather upholstery, original style seatbelts, Cobra floor mats, locking glovebox, billet shift knob, plus heater and defroster. Modern comfort and safety upgrades include silver ceramic-coated heat shields for leg and ankle protection, and a chromed fire extinguisher.
The Superformance MKIII is a meticulously engineered and crafted reproduction of the original roadster, built under license from Carroll Shelby Licensing Inc. It combines period-correct authenticity with modern build precision, giving owners confidence and consistency without compromising character.
SP01924 is titled as 1965 Superformance with 4,312 miles and is available for only $99,950.
