Superformance MKIII-R (SP03595)
While the classic Cobra profile always stirs the soul, there is still room for fresh interpretation. This Superformance MKIII-R carefully integrates modern performance and styling elements for an aggressive, contemporary presence. The next owner will truly enjoy the benefits of classic sports motoring in a car with a fresh and distinctive personality.
The MKIII-R model's enhancements include scalloped fenders and hood, black mesh side and fender vents, hood scoop with rivets, contoured front splitter, and a rear diffuser. This car has the optional "Black Out" package for a midnight treatment on the trim, mirrors, side pipes, 18-inch wheels, and driver and passenger roll bars. Shelby badges and stainless steel spinners on the wheels provide balanced contrast.
The interior likewise carries a contemporary edge. Standard R equipment includes electronic gauges set in an original-style 427 S/C dash, and double-stitched leather seats, door panels, and transmission tunnel. SP03595 has a leather steering wheel and optional Push Button Start.
Old or new, the heart of any Cobra is the engine. This MKIII-R is powered by a Roush 427 SR V8 teamed with a Tremec TKO-600 5-speed manual transmission for maximum driving excitement.
Each Superformance MKIII comes with a heavy duty TIG welded steel ladder frame chassis with crumple zones, fully independent front and rear suspension, Wilwood power-assisted vented disc brakes, and limited slip differential. It is a meticulously engineered and crafted reproduction of the original, built under license from Carroll Shelby Licensing Inc. No expense was spared in re-creating the legendary car, ensuring an authentic sports car experience.
A tonneau cover is included in the sale of SP03595. The car has less than 2,500 miles and is SB-100 Smog Exempt registered. This exciting ride is offered for $149,950.
